Pluto LNG
Our Pluto LNG Project is set to become the fastest developed LNG project. From discovery in 2005, the first gas from the field is due in late 2010 and the first LNG in early 2011. The project is underpinned by 15-year sales agreements with Kansai Electric and Tokyo Gas.
In 2008, both Kansai Electric and Tokyo Gas acquired a 5% interest in the foundation project, which will process gas from the Pluto and Xena gas fields, located in the Carnarvon Basin about 190 kilometres north-west of Karratha in Western Australia. And with construction of the foundation project progressing, we're preparing for expansion with a second and third LNG train and pipeline gas facility.
